First, Happy Holidays. And wishing you a fine New Year's Eve. I'm very, very excited to share this with you:
This is formally both your invitation to join, and my announcement to , and in earnest, introduce my new organization, Ben Davis Arts, and my new production concept, Consensus.
You're here because you've met me over recent years, either when I was in college; or when I've worked as an actor or producer; when following my blog, Ben Davis' Acting Journey; or, when you encountered earlier version of this project, ThreeAxis (also called Meteor Company, more recently). Some of you even know it as it is right now. They have gone by many names, but represent the single evolution of my eight year long quest for a creative family to help myself and other actors flourish in the digital age.
Specifically, to reinvent the way the industry makes film and theater so all working actors receive no less than $15/hr.
Consensus will be the means to do this. This is an experimentation phase that will last for at least the next year or two. It is the first of many, many small steps. Learn more here or here. But, like all great artistic projects, it requires a village of special
people like you. Since there's at least THREE HUNDRED of you reading this, believe me when I say this project already has real attention, and continues to grow.
This process runs on your input. Your attendance and feedback WILL make the difference. Your previous support has sustained me. And now, I want to give back to you through the work you helped make possible.
